Dextro, Inc., the first computer-vision and deep learning system to make the visual contents in video searchable in real time, has been acquired by TASER International, the global leader in public safety technology.

Dextro, Inc., the first computer-vision and deep learning system to make the visual contents in video searchable in real time, has been acquired by TASER International, the global leader in public safety technology.

This is one of two acquisitions by TASER made to launch a new artificial intelligence (AI) group called "Axon AI." The acquired technologies and team of researchers and engineers will accelerate the introduction of new AI-powered capabilities for public safety. TASER's acquisition of Dextro will form the technology backbone of the new Axon AI platform.

The WilmerHale deal team representing Dextro was led by Peter Buckland and included Bill Caporizzo, Jessica Wade, Alexandra Fulton and Meghan Walsh.
