LONDON, May 7, 2026 – Proskauer announced today that Konstantinos (Kos) Vavelidis has joined the Firm as a partner in its Structured Credit Group, based in the Firm's London office. Kos brings extensive experience in structuring collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and other structured finance matters. His addition further reinforces the Firm's position as a global "one-stop shop" for asset manager and bank clients.
"Kos is a highly regarded CLO lawyer. His arrival strengthens our capabilities in the structured credit market and increases the connectivity we offer to asset managers and financial institutions globally," said Philip Bowden, co-head of the Global Finance practice. "Client demand for structured products across private credit and private equity continues to increase. Kos' addition meaningfully enhances our growing structured finance offering and reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative solutions to clients in this area."
Kos has expertise in structured finance, derivatives, securitization, and asset‑backed lending, with a particular focus on CLO transactions. He frequently acts for major global financial institutions, including leading investment banks, credit funds, private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers.
"I am pleased to be joining Proskauer's Structured Credit practice, as it continues to develop its capabilities across markets," said Kos. "The Firm's integrated approach across Funds, Finance and Structured Credit allows clients to access coordinated, end‑to‑end advice from a single platform, which is increasingly critical in today's environment. I am excited to work closely with clients and colleagues to further strengthen those relationships and deliver practical solutions as this landscape continues to evolve."
Kos' arrival follows a series of strategic partner hires in both the U.S. and London. With the addition of partner John Goldfinch in London and partners Larry Berkovich, Jon Burke and Blake Gilson and senior counsel Casey Miller in the U.S., Proskauer is positioning itself as a market leader in CLOs and structured credit.
Since 2024, the Firm has welcomed 27 Global Finance partners worldwide, significantly strengthening its expertise in leveraged finance, private credit, structured credit, and fund finance.
