Ward and Smith is pleased to announce that Ken Gray has been recognized as an "Icon" honoree as part of North Carolina Lawyers Weekly's 2026 Excellence in Law awards.
The Excellence in Law program honors outstanding members of the legal community across North Carolina, recognizing professionals who have demonstrated leadership, impact, and dedication to the practice of law. The "Icon" category highlights attorneys with 30 or more years of experience who have made lasting contributions to the profession. Ken is among a select group of honorees recognized in this category.
Ken leads Ward and Smith's Labor and Employment Practice Group and is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Employment Law.
While Ken has argued cases in front of the Noth Carolina Supreme Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, he points to the Labor and Employment team he has help build at Ward and Smith, which has more State Bar Board Certified Specialists in Employment Law than any other law firm in the state, as his most cherished accomplishment.
