Riyadh – 23rd February 2025 – Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), regionally headquartered in Riyadh, has expanded its Tax Practice in Saudi Arabia with the launch of a dedicated Transfer Pricing (TP) & Pillar Two advisory offering. The new capability provides clients with end-to-end support across transfer pricing policy design, documentation, compliance, dispute resolution, tax structuring and BEPS Pillar Two advisory.
This marks the next phase of growth following the establishment of A&M’s Saudi Tax practice in September 2025. The firm continues to build a Saudi-anchored, senior-led platform with more than 20 professionals in the Kingdom, including two Saudi Managing Directors. The addition of a fully operational TP and Pillar Two advisory team responds to increasing client demand for audit-independent, conflict-free tax advisory services at a time of rapid regulatory change.
A&M’s model differs from traditional consulting structures in the market by providing direct senior involvement, no audit conflicts, and delivery through integrated multidisciplinary platform combining tax with restructuring, transactions, valuations, and dispute advisory capabilities.
Heading up the new team is Danial Khalid, who joins A&M as a Managing Director. With more than 15 years of international experience across Singapore, Indonesia, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, Danial has advised multinationals on all aspects of transfer pricing and international tax. He previously led Deloitte’s Transfer Pricing practice in KSA and served as Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Tax Leader for Deloitte Middle East. He holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Kent, UK.
Joining alongside him is Abir Mukherjee, an experienced TP and Pillar Two advisory professional who previously supported the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) as an external advisor on International Tax matters, and before that worked in EY’s Transfer Pricing practice in Saudi Arabia. The TP and Pillar Two advisory team also include two GCC-national Managers, further strengthening A&M’s commitment to building locally rooted capability with regional insight. Together, the team brings clients regulator-side experience, deep technical expertise, and ability to operate as a fully functional advisory unit from day one.
Commenting on the launch, Craig McAree, Managing Director and Head of A&M’s Saudi Tax practice, said: “Establishing a comprehensive TP & Pillar Two offering in Riyadh furthers our mission of combining deep domestic knowledge, local senior-led execution, audit independence, and global insight to deliver end-to-end solutions. As Saudi Arabia’s tax landscape enters a new phase, TP & Pillar Two capabilities are increasingly central to cross-border business strategy. Danial’s team helps clients navigate this complexity with precision and confidence – combining technical excellence, commercial insight, and an understanding of the local environment.”
