ISOLAS was delighted to be invited to the popular GibSilver Coffee Morning, a fantastic community initiative that brings people together each week for conversation, connection, and support.
Partner Sarah Bray delivered an informative session on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), outlining how they work, when they should be put in place, and why they are important to think about while one still has mental capacity. Sarah also explained that for LPAs to be legally valid, they must be registered with the Court and she showed attendees an example of what an official registered LPA looks like.
The discussion encouraged participants to ask questions about how LPAs can protect both individuals and families, ensuring decisions about health and finances are made by trusted people when it matters most. Sarah also addressed common misconceptions and highlighted how LPAs serve as proactive planning tools rather than reactive measures, providing peace of mind and security for the future.
A special thanks to Brenda, Ray and the GibSilver team for creating such a supportive and inclusive space for our community.
