Three of Wiley’s lawyers have been recognized by the Reserve Organization of America (ROA) with the Twice the Citizen Award for their successful pro bono advocacy before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Lukman Azeez, partner in the Litigation Practice, Wesley E. Weeks, partner in the Intellectual Property Practice, and Boyd Garriott, associate in the Telecom, Media & Technology Practice, represented ROA as amicus curiae in Feliciano v. Department of Transportation. Their work helped persuade the Court to award differential pay to a Reservist, a ruling that holds significant implications for federal civilian-employee military Reservists who are deployed during a national emergency. The Wiley team representing ROA on this matter also included Government Contracts partner Scott A. Felder and Litigation associate Kahlil H. Epps.

The Twice the Citizen Award recognizes outstanding contributions to support ROA’s mission of military readiness of the Reserve and National Guard. The award was presented at ROA’s annual convention on October 18 in Washington, DC.
