The Tuscarora Council of the Boy Scouts of America will honor Drew Covert with its Distinguished Citizen Award on Tuesday, October 7, at the Maxwell Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
This annual event recognizes outstanding individuals who demonstrate leadership, community service, and a commitment to making a lasting difference. The Distinguished Citizen Award is the Council’s highest honor, celebrating those who embody the values of Scouting and inspire others to give back.
The evening will begin with a reception at 6:15 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. Attendees will gather not only to celebrate Drew Covert’s contributions but also to support the Tuscarora Council’s mission of serving youth in Duplin, Johnston, Sampson, and Wayne Counties. Funds raised through the event help provide character development, outdoor adventure, and leadership opportunities for thousands of young people across eastern North Carolina.
