Thompson Coburn Business Litigation partner Jasmine Wynton was recently sworn in as president of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society at the organization's annual John Hemphill Dinner. In this role, Jasmine will guide the Society's efforts to preserve and promote the rich history of the Texas Supreme Court and the state's appellate courts, while overseeing initiatives in fundraising, scholarships, historical research, and education.
Jasmine brings to this role deep nonprofit and bar leadership, including serving as a Director and Officer of Rainbow Days, Inc., supporting programs that empower at-risk youth; a past Council Member of the African American Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Texas; and a past Director of the J.L. Turner Legal Association, a leading African American bar organization in Dallas. A longtime Trustee and officer of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society, Jasmine also offers the unique perspective of a former law clerk to both the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the Supreme Court of Texas.
