Nashville, Tenn., (July 24, 2025) – Bass, Berry & Sims recently welcomed seven new attorneys in its Nashville office, including Nuraldeen Brifkani, Oluwatoyin (Toyin) Edogun, Elizabeth Moore Fox, Gregory H. Goodman, Becca Guthrie, Jack Nelson and James (Jimmy) T. Snodgrass. Since the start of the year, 17 lateral attorneys have joined Bass, Berry & Sims among its Nashville, Memphis (Tennessee) and Washington, D.C. offices.

Nuraldeen Brifkani (Associate) advises public and private borrowers, private equity sponsors and financial institutions in debt financing transactions, loan workouts, and restructurings. Prior to joining the firm, he was a finance and restructuring associate at Holland & Knight LLP and the director of government relations at Frost Brown Todd LLP. Brifkani earned a law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law (2022) and an undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University (2015).

Oluwatoyin (Toyin) Edogun (Associate) counsels clients on corporate and securities issues including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and securities regulations matters and filings. In addition, she represents private equity firms and portfolio companies in various transactions. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Edogun was an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in its Washington, D.C. office. During law school, she served as a SEC Scholar in the Division of Corporation Finance, Office of Small Business Policy at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Edogun earned a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center (2023) and an undergraduate degree from Princeton University (2020).

Toyin Edogun is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia. She is licensed in Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7 Sec. 10.07

Elizabeth Moore Fox (Senior Global Trademark Management & Intellectual Property Attorney) advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property and trademark portfolio strategy, management and prosecution to help them achieve maximum, global brand protection. She focuses her practice on trademark selection, registration, and enforcement in the United States and abroad, prosecuting applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and managing international trademark campaigns. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Fox was a senior attorney in the Atlanta office of King & Spalding LLP. She earned a law degree from Vanderbilt Law School (2005) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee (2002).

Elizabeth Fox is licensed to practice in Georgia. She is licensed in Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7 Sec. 10.07

Gregory H. Goodman (Senior Real Estate Attorney) counsels clients in complex commercial real estate transactions, primarily focusing on commercial leasing matters. He regularly prepares and negotiates leases, amendments, and easement agreements on behalf of both landlords and tenants. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Goodman was Associate General Counsel at Cellular Sales. He earned a law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law (2014) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee (2010).

Becca Guthrie (Associate) represents clients in complex business litigation and government investigations. Prior to joining the firm, Guthrie was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in its New York office. She served as a judicial intern in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Guthrie earned a law degree from Fordham University School of Law (2021) and an undergraduate degree from Barnard College of Columbia University (2016).

Jack Nelson (Associate) advises clients in complex business litigation and government investigations. He also advises clients on shareholder disputes, derivative actions, and litigation related to mergers and acquisitions and breach of fiduciary duty. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Nelson was an associate in the New York office of Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Gerald J. Pappert, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Nelson graduated as the valedictorian of his class from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law (2023). He earned an undergraduate degree from Boston College (2019), where he was also a pitcher on the baseball team.

James (Jimmy) T. Snodgrass (Associate) counsels employers on a range of employment matters arising under state and federal law, such as issues regarding discrimination, disability, wage and hour disputes, and employee discipline, among others. Additionally, he provides strategic and thorough defense across the full range of employment-related claims and disputes. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Snodgrass was an associate at the Knoxville office of Kramer Rayson LLP. After law school, he served as law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judges H. Bruce Guyton and Debra C. Poplin of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee and as a pro se law clerk to U.S. District Judge Thomas A. Varlan of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee. Snodgrass earned a law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law (2017) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee (2014).
