Gowling WLG is proud to announce the adoption of Harvey AI—the leading generative AI platform purpose-built for the legal profession—across all its Canadian offices and practice areas, marking a Canadian legal industry first.

Harvey's strategic rollout reflects a meaningful step in Gowling WLG's mission to enhance client service and experience through thoughtful innovation—introducing its teams with sophisticated tools that support smarter collaboration and faster delivery.

"This is more than a tech deployment—it's a cultural shift in how we think about delivering value to our clients. Our legal professionals are energized by Harvey's potential to streamline everyday tasks and help build intelligent, customized workflows. From due diligence and research to client reporting and advisory support, Harvey is beginning to play an integral role in how we deliver legal services," said Al Hounsell, National Director of AI, Innovation & Knowledge.

Harvey amplifies how Gowling WLG's legal professionals analyze large volumes of information, surface key insights, and generate high-quality content while ensuring they remain fully in control. The adoption follows an intensive evaluation and hands-on experimentation period across the firm that revealed hundreds of high-impact legal use cases.

Gowling WLG is also collaborating with clients to explore and co-develop secure, scalable Harvey-powered workflows designed to meet their needs and unlock AI's potential, together. Gowling WLG has long been an innovator and leader in AI, advising policymakers and clients, including many of the world's leading organizations, as they navigate the promise and complexity of this transformative technology. The firmwide rollout of Harvey is another step in that journey, putting advanced legal AI directly into the hands of every professional across the firm.

"We see Harvey not just as a tool, but as a platform for partnership between lawyers, technologists, and our clients," said Richard McConnell, Gowling WLG's Chief Technology & Operating Officer. "This rollout is part of our broader commitment to responsible innovation—blending human judgment with smart, secure technology to help us move faster, think further, and build better client experiences."

Winston Weinberg, Co-Founder and CEO of Harvey, added: "Gowling WLG is setting an incredibly high bar in Canadian legal innovation. Their enterprise-wide rollout is a testament to visionary leadership and a deep belief in the power of AI to transform how legal work is done. We're excited to support Gowling WLG's journey as they lead the way."
