Lowenstein Sandler represented venture capital firm Reach Capital in recent investments in two different LATAM technology platforms aimed at the education sector:
- Lowenstein represented Reach Capital as the lead investor in a
$12 million Series A round in Cometa, a Mexican fintech platform helping
private schools in Latin America optimize financial operations. Acrew
Capital, Kaszek Ventures, Homebrew, and Latitud
Ventures also participated in the round.
Cometa automates payments, admissions, and financial reporting, enabling schools to operate more efficiently.
With the funding, Cometa plans to continue investing in its product development, strengthen its administrative operations, and reach more schools across the country.
- Lowenstein also represented Reach Capital as a co-lead investor
in the $7 million Series A round in Teachy, a
Brazilian AI-powered workspace transforming how teachers find and
create content, helping them save up to 80% of time on tasks like
lesson planning and grading with curriculum-aligned,
AI-customizable materials. The round was co-led by Goodwater
Capital.
The funding will enhance the product, drive growth, and support regional expansion by hiring engineers and designers to scale Teachy's world-class platform.
