A Katten team led by Private Equity Partners Mark Solomon and Peter Bogdanow represented Dallas-based private investment firm Highlander Partners (Highlander) in the sale of its portfolio company, McIntosh Group, to Bose Corporation on November 15.
Acquired by Highlander in June 2022, the McIntosh Group has been a global leader in high-end audio equipment for decades and today manufactures the world's finest amplifiers, speakers, turntables and other audio products under several renowned brands, including McIntosh, Sonus faber and Sumiko Phono Cartridges.
Due to its complexity and international jurisdictions, the transaction required the joint efforts of a multidisciplinary team that included Private Equity Partner Ethan Post, Antitrust and Competition Partner Jonathan Rotenberg, Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Partner Andrew Skowronski, Transactional Tax Planning Partner Todd Hatcher, Shanghai Managing Partner Feng Xue and Intellectual Property Partner Sean Wooden.
