Jenner & Block has elected Jon Skladany to the partnership. Jon joined the firm in 2023 following one-year at the International Monetary Fund and 14 years of service to in the House of Representatives.
While on the Hill, Jon held senior positions on both the House Committee on Financial Services and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (now called the Committee on Oversight and Accountability). Jon also served on the Republican staff for the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis from 2020 to 2022 under House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA), then Minority Whip. Jon brings this experience to bear for clients facing a broad range of policy matters and high-profile investigations.
Jon is currently advising financial institutions, leading universities, and government contractors on a range of issues. He is also serving as Special Counsel to the House of Representatives' Task Force on the Attempted Assassinations of Donald J. Trump.
