Lesley Anderson KC (leading Tom Gosling and Arianna Barnes of 23 ES and instructed by Glaisyers ETL through Kings Chambers) has been successful on behalf of the Leeson family in obtaining a declaration that, on 6 June 2017 while at a remote holiday cottage in Denmark, Donald McPherson unlawfully killed their much loved daughter/mother/sister/aunt Paula Leeson and so should forfeit any entitlement to any benefits he would otherwise receive upon her intestacy or arising from her death.
This high-profile trial took place before the Honourable Mr Justice Richard Smith sitting in the Manchester Business and Property Courts over 10 days in April and May 2024 and the 122 page judgment was handed down on 6 September 2024 [2024] EWHC 2277 (Ch).
