Karen L. Bashor (Partner-Las Vegas, NV) was featured along with one of her mentees in the legal community, Genevieve Galman, in “Nevada Lawyer Spotlights AAPI Women Leaders During Asian American Heritage Month” an article that appeared in the May 2024 issue of Nevada Lawyer. Genevieve founded the Filipino American Lawyers Association (FALA) of Nevada with Karen’s support and held its inaugural event in April 2024, which was a great success. Karen has been asked to serve on the Advisory Board for FALA Nevada. The magazine also spotlighted Karen’s influence in the community and in the firm, particularly her leadership as Chair for the AAPI employee resource group, her work with the women’s initiative, WAVE, her pro bono participation and her elevation to Equity Partner, the first Filipino to achieve that title at the firm.
