Davis+Gilbert is pleased to announce that partner Joseph Cioffi is taking on additional responsibilities as Chief Operating Partner effective immediately. Joseph currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee and as the chair of the Insolvency + Finance practice, where he advises lenders, borrowers, and investors on high-risk credit markets and protects clients' interests in bankruptcies and other matters involving financial distress. He is replacing partner Lewis Rubin, who has decided to retire from the firm at the end of the year.

Joseph's role will encompass the following:

  • Providing leadership in overseeing, guiding and managing the firm's operations;
  • Overseeing the administrative management of the firm;
  • Leading strategic planning, including business plan implementation;
  • Providing leadership and engagement in activities designed to ensure business profitability.

Joseph joined the firm as a partner in the Corporate practice in January 2000 following a successful career as a brand marketing executive. He created the Insolvency + Finance practice group in 2016.
