Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Adam E. Richards has joined the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale office as a Member.
Adam is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar. Less than one percent (1%) of Florida lawyers carry this distinction. He provides transactional, project consultation, and dispute resolution/litigation services to Florida’s construction industry, including national and international general contractors, owners/developers, associations, local builders/trades, and design professionals, for both the public and private sectors.
Adam has dealt with a wide range of development projects throughout the state, such as hotels, courthouses, treatment plants, residential/commercial buildings including one of the tallest in the country, restaurants, a major expressway in Miami, infrastructure improvements, and luxury homes. His complex construction experience includes contract disputes, delays, non-payment claims, liens, bonds, defects, insurance claims/loss events, damages to property, catastrophic injuries/fatalities, and risk transfer/indemnity matters pre-suit as well as in both the state and federal courts throughout Florida.
He received his B.A. from SUNY at Binghamton and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
