On July 1, 2023, two more state privacy laws will take effect. The new laws in Colorado and Connecticut will impose requirements that extend beyond the rules in California and Virginia that took effect earlier this year. July 1 also marks the start of the California Privacy Protection Agency's authority to enforce the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Join McDermott's Global Privacy & Cybersecurity team for a webinar series covering the new state privacy laws, plus insights on evolving best practices and market positions. Partners Elliot Golding and David Saunders kick off the series by highlighting how Colorado and Connecticut exceed existing state privacy laws and providing practical tips to incorporate the new requirements into your compliance programs.

Up next: Register for additional webinars in the series covering more nuanced compliance requirements and practical tips for companies handling health, financial and employee data.
