Sarah Batley, a London-based of counsel in the Firm's Global Disputes Practice, has been named to Law.com International's "UK's Best Up and Coming Female Lawyers" 2023 list, which recognizes 25 of the United Kingdom's "most exceptional up-and-coming female lawyers from across the top law firms."

The lawyers named to the list are selected by the publication's editors because of demonstrated success and innovation, as well as the quality of client feedback, and on the scale and significance of their work. Ms. Batley is a commercial litigator with experience in complex cross-border litigation. Her practice focuses on contract, tort, and breach of duty claims. She closely follows ESG (environmental, social, and governance) developments in the United Kingdom and regularly advises clients on ESG and climate change litigation risk.

"Sarah is a fantastic lawyer and an integral part of our team working on novel and precedent-setting issues," said Sion Richards, who leads the Firm's Global Disputes Practice. "It is wonderful that her excellence has been recognized in this way—a very well-deserved achievement."

Ms. Batley is a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Trainee Solicitor Recruitment Panel in the London Office, and is a leading member of the office's Women Lawyers Group. She is passionate about training and mentoring, regularly delivering internal and external training sessions, and acting as mentor to a number of associates and trainee solicitors.
