A nationally recognized team of 11 partners with extensive experience in the energy industry has joined Holland & Knight from Eversheds Sutherland. The team is led by Partners Ram Sunkara in Houston and Amish Shah in Washington, D.C., who bring a wealth of knowledge in energy/renewables and tax matters, respectively.
The group also includes Partners Jackson Allen and Kyle Wamstad in Atlanta; Paul Hogan in Chicago; Joshua Belcher and Ronnie Dabbasi in Houston; Madeleine Tan in New York; and Alexander Holtan, Susan Lafferty and Bradley Seltzer in Washington, D.C. The team also includes Senior Counsel Daniel Strickland, Associates Andrew Kriha, Mary Kate Nicholson and Halley Townsend as well as Public Affairs Advisor Blair Paige Scott in Washington.
The team's experience includes corporate transactions, power purchase agreements, project finance and development, equity and debt financing, general tax planning, energy-related tax credits, tax controversy, regulatory and environmental matters.

The move follows Holland & Knight's successful 2021 merger with Thompson & Knight, a Texas-based firm and leader in the energy industry, as well as multiple lateral energy and renewable partner additions in the past several years.
