It is with great pleasure that we announce six new partners of Cox & Palmer: Jordan Brown (Charlottetown), André Carroll (Moncton), Devon Cassidy (Halifax), Ryan Lebans (Halifax), Matthew Peyton (St. John's), and Amy Stewart (Moncton).

"Becoming a partner is a significant milestone in a lawyer's career. Each have demonstrated commitment and hard work to clients, colleagues, and the firm. We are proud of their accomplishments and welcome them to the partnership." says George Cooper, KC, Chief Executive Officer.

Based out of our Charlottetown office, Jordie's practice is focused on providing a range of legal advice and litigation services to small and medium sized businesses, as well as individuals. Jordie is fortunate to have assisted clients in milestone events ranging from purchasing a new home for the first time, to some of the largest business transactions done on the Island. He has also provided clients with advice and assistance through legal issues in all levels of the Island's court. He has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer to Watch, by Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and is proud to serve on the boards of the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce, and of the Canadian Bar Association.

André, working from our Moncton office, has a bilingual practice and solid experience in corporate and commercial, commercial real estate, banking and finance, and securities law. He is regularly involved with mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and financings, and provides advice on corporate governance across a wide range of business sectors. André has previously taught tax law at the Université de Moncton faculty of law. His clients emphasize his responsiveness, availability, and the close attention he dedicates to their file.

A member of our Halifax team, Devon practices in condominium, real estate, estates, restructuring, insolvency and corporate and commercial law. To support her focus on condominium law, she is President of the Nova Scotia Chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute and Vice President of the National Executive of the Canadian Condominium Institute. Devon is a frequent lecturer both locally and nationally.

Also based in Halifax, Ryan practices in civil litigation with a focus on professional liability, insurance defence, and commercial litigation. He acts as counsel to regulated professionals in a number of fields including health, finance, engineering, and insurance. His insurance practice includes responding to a variety of claims, from automobile accidents to occupiers' liability. In his commercial litigation practice, Ryan routinely represents companies, partnerships, and financial institutions in commercial disputes.

Matthew practices from our St. John's office in the areas of tax, as well as corporate and commercial law, and frequently advises on matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, organizational structures, corporate reorganizations and succession planning. He has completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program and is trusted by clients in various industries and sectors for providing advice on a broad range of taxation matters. Matthew also works with entrepreneurs, guiding them from the first stage of business and beyond.

Amy Stewart, a member of our team in Moncton, maintains a busy litigation practice focused on insurance and commercial law, while also pursuing her Certified Insurance Professional designation. Responsive, detail-oriented, and results-driven, Amy has enjoyed representing clients at various levels of Court across New Brunswick in both official languages. She's also active in her community as a Member of the New Brunswick Police Commission and Alternate Chair of the New Brunswick Mental Health Review Board.

Congratulations Jordie, André, Devon, Ryan, Matthew, and Amy!
