Precautionary measures applicable to Cruise Liners and passenger ships.

As a precautionary measure to manage the Covid-19 outbreak, Transport Malta has today informed industry operators that, with immediate effect, a temporary ban is being imposed on the entry of cruise liners and passenger ships into Maltese ports and territorial waters.

The Authority may, strictly on a case by case basis, grant conditional permits depending on prevailing circumstances and conditions for vessels to be rendered essential services related to the well-being of persons on board and the vessel's safety and security at a designated anchorage.
