SEBI's Alternative Investment Policy Advisory Committee has vide its report by ("Report") dated December 1, 2019 gave the following recommendation for amendment of the SEBI AIF Regulation, 2012,
- In order to bring consistency, standardization, benchmark and structure, the report has recommended a set of additional disclosures to be made by AIFs on a quarterly or monthly basis which is proposed to include summary of management discussion and analysis letter, financial package and Supplemental Management Reports.
- Creating a central body that will report the performance record of funds on an aggregate basis based on the information obtained from the periodic reports of the funds.
The report also suggests modification of the existing reporting format of the AIF to include certain additional parameters based on which the centralized body will be able to better assess the performance of the funds.
