The latest support measures of the Greek Government against the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak, adopted on 30.03.2020, include, amongst others, a provision on the suspension of the Central Registry of Ultimate Beneficial Owners ("UBOs") as foreseen in the Greek Law 4557/2018.

According to Article 12 of the latest package of measures dated 30.03.2020, the operation of the Central Registry of UBOs is suspended for a period of three (3) months from the date of the publication of the legislative act. In addition, the suspension may be extended for an equal-length, 3-month period by a joint decision of the Ministers of Finance and Digital Governance. During this suspension period all ongoing deadlines for submission of UBOs information shall also be suspended.

We remind you that the Greek UBO Central Registry restarted its operation on the 3rd of March this year.
