The Cyprus Tax Department has announced that, with effect from 9 January 2017, applications for registration on the TAXISnet VAT system for electronic submission of VAT returns may only be made online via the TAXISnet website. Paper application forms will no longer be accepted.
The relevant Notification (Notification PI 6/2017) according to article 42c (5) and (6) of the Value Added Tax Laws of 2000 to 2016 was published in the Official Gazette on 5 January, together with the prescribed application forms for registration and for cancellation of registration.
