On Friday, November 29, 2013, the Ontario Ministry of Finance released a paper titled "Securing Our Future Strengthening Retirement Income in Ontario Through Pooled Registered Pension Plans".

The paper constitutes a consultation framework for pooled retirement pension plans (PRPPs) in Ontario.  The paper provides background information on the federal model and sets out discussion questions on specific parameters of a possible PRPP framework for Ontario.

Submissions must be received by January 20, 2014 and can be sent by email to pension.feedback@ontario.ca or by regular mail to Framework for Pooled Registered Pension Plans, Strategic Pension Reform Secretariat, Ministry of Finance, 7 Queen's Park Crescent, 5th Floor, Frost Building South, Toronto, ON M7A 1Y7.
