March 22, 2019 – Record-breaking immigration numbers helped boost Nova Scotia's population to an all time high of 965,382 people at the start of 2019.

The increase of more than 10,000 people in 12 months includes 5,970 new immigrants arriving in the course of 2018.

That number is set to rise in 2019 with the Nova Scotia Nominee Program's federal government nomination allocation increased by 454 new spaces.
