It was announced last week that the Ontario Securities Commission will be hosting a panel discussion on the potential imposition of a statutory fiduciary duty on advisers and dealers to act in the best interests of clients. The panel discussion is intended to build on earlier roundtables held in June and focus the dialogue on issues identified in  CSA Consultation Paper 33-403.
