Netti Atom Fined $110,000 For Price Advertising

In Issue 4, we reported that the ACCC was prosecuting Netti Atom for inducing retailers not to advertise Netti Atom bicycles on the internet at less than RRP. On 6 December, Netti Atom admitted the allegations and the Court imposed penalties on the company of $110,000 and a penalty on its National Sales Manager of $11,250. The Court allowed both to pay these fines over 18 months. The Court also ordered the company to publish notices in industry magazines.
