Slovak News - March 97 - Revitalising Of The Banking Sector

The Board of the National Bank of Slovakia discussed the revitalisation process of the banking sector in Slovakia, especially with regard to the restructuring of loan portfolios.

The Board has decided on the legal limits on a bank's capital structure for this year.

In the case that these limits are not adhered to the National Bank of Slovakia may apply penalty measures in accordance with the Banking Act or withdraw banking licences.
