The Chamber of the Slovak Exchange (Burza cennych papierov - BCPB) approved the inclusion of financial derivatives to be traded on the exchange.
Since the end of 1995 BCPB acquired its licence from the Ministry of Finance to organise trades with financial derivatives in the money market, foreign exchange market and capital market.
Under the licence BCPB has initially to create a derivatives market on the foreign exchange, option and forward markets.
Derivatives on securities will be introduced later.
