On November 7th, 2016, the National Agency of Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection in the Hydrocarbons Sector (“ASEA”) published in the Federal Official Gazette the Official Mexican Standard NOM-005-ASEA-2016, design, construction, operation and maintenance of Service Stations for storage and the retail of diesel and gasolines.
The purpose of this standard, is to establish technical parameters of Industrial and Operational Safety, and Environmental Protection which should be met in the abovementioned areas, and shall enter into effect on January 6th, 2017.
