Canadian Lawyer magazine features Yellowknife Partner Sheila MacPherson in an article about her career and dedication to the legal community in the North.
The article, titled 'How Sheila MacPherson of Lawson Lundell has dedicated her career to public service in the North', details her life, education and career path that led her to become someone who has helped shape the legal industry in Northern Canada.
"I viewed myself as just a little kid from Frobisher Bay at the time. Growing up, it was about 1,000 people. And here I was put in as leader of an organization that represents 14 law societies in Canada and collectively regulates 140,000 people," says Sheila who was very active with the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, culminating in her election as president in 2018.
