The American Lawyer named Arnold & Porter partners Andre Geverola and Christopher Renk to its 2022 list of "Midwest Trailblazers." The special supplement profiles individuals in the Midwest region who have "moved the needle in the legal industry."

Geverola, who leads the firm's Cartel Investigations practice, was highlighted for his work as the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division's first Director of Criminal Litigation. The role provided a unique opportunity to help shape the Division's policies and litigation approach, he told The American Lawyer. At the time he left the DOJ, the Antitrust Division had the "greatest number of criminal cases preparing to go to trial than at any time in at least the last two decades," he told the publication. That's not something he expects to change anytime soon, he said.

In its profile of Renk, The American Lawyer featured his work in the trademark space, specifically his work to clear the marketplace of knockoff products. Renk, who is a partner in the firm's intellectual property practice, said that "fewer knockoffs and infringing products on the market" means that "consumers will be able to readily identify all authentic products without substantial confusion."
