The 4th AVCJ Diversity & Inclusion Forum will be held virtually on December 9, 2021. The Forum aims to push the discussion of diversity, equity, inclusion, and culture forward and to help pave the way for future generations in the Asian private equity and venture capital industry.

MoFo of counsel Maureen Ho will moderate the "Implementing diversity and inclusion into the venture capital ecosystem" panel, along with panelists Eriko Suzuki of MPower Partners, Michael Lints of Golden Gate Ventures, Scarlett Chen of Prudential Corporation Asia, and Judith Li of Lily Asia Ventures. The panelists will share their journeys, including their experiences and challenges in fundraising, and their thoughts on how the industry can move forward with gender and racial diversity. The panel will cover:

  • Building the pipeline: The business case for why diversity in the venture capital industry leads to better returns, performance, and enhanced innovation.
  • How can the Asian venture capital industry help create an inclusive environment for female and minority entrepreneurs?
  • Are venture capital firms in Asia increasingly monitoring diversity and inclusion within their portfolio companies?
  • What are some successful examples of female-founded funds in the region that have invested in female-founded/diverse companies?
