Russell-Cooke is proud to announce it is the Principal Club Sponsor of Cobham Rugby Club. The principal sponsorship will continue until the end of 2023/24 season.

Cobham RFC was founded in 1930 as the Old Surbitonians RFC and is based at the Old Surbitonians Memorial Ground in Cobham. It has operated a second pitch in Covenham since 2012. Offering four senior teams and a large youth and mini division, Cobham RFC competes in the London 1 South division (the 6th tier of English Rugby) at the senior level. Having won the Surrey Trophy in 2012, Cobham RFC was one of only five English clubs to be designated as an official team base and hosted Namibia and Italy during the 2015 World Cup.

Russell-Cooke has a distinct heritage in South West London and Surrey. The arrival of partners, Julie Man in the private client team and Miranda Green in the family team to the firm's Kingston office in early 2020 added to the investment in its Surrey practice, establishing a stronger and committed presence in Elmbridge (Weybridge, Cobham, Walton, Esher, Oxshott and surrounding areas). This enhances Russell-Cooke's ability to offer the full spectrum of services required by individuals and their families who are based in the Surrey region.

Russell-Cooke has an office in Kingston and also operates from The Long Barn in Cobham.

Julie Man, private client partner in the Kingston office, said: "Cobham Rugby Club is at the heart of the local community and our lawyers live in and serve this same community. Many of our people have children or friends who play with Cobham RFC and all of us have been to events at the clubhouse. So it is an absolute pleasure to see the Russell-Cooke name emblazoned across the jerseys and around the clubhouse and grounds. As a local business we are proud to show our support and look forward to meeting everyone and neighbouring businesses in the seasons to come."

Russell-Cooke partner, Miranda Green, commented: "We are delighted to be supporting the club, which is a pillar of the Cobham community and has been for generations of locals. The club's commitment to sport goes well beyond rugby and its commitment to the community goes well beyond sport. We can't wait for what the season will bring and look forward to many happy hours spent supporting our teams!"

The club will display the Russell-Cooke logo on its jerseys and on its home pitch and clubhouse and began its 2021/2022 season wearing branded jerseys.
