Churyl is recognized by Chambers for her zoning/land use planning and expropriations expertise.
With matters regularly before subdivision and development appeal boards, councils, the Municipal Government Board, the Land Compensation Board, and courts, Churyl understands the unique challenges our clients face when dealing with land development and intermunicipal disputes.
Most recently, Churyl was Counsel at a major Canadian law firm advising on land development and expropriations, where she advised developers, individuals and municipal boards on a variety of related matters. She acts for public entities as well as corporations on hearings and negotiations, in addition to advising on litigation.

Churyl is active in professional networks in the real estate community, including the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network and BILD Calgary. She also serves as vice-chair, Municipal Section (South), Alberta Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, is a past-president of the Alberta Expropriation Association and is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Section (South), Alberta Branch, Canadian Bar Association.
