Cooley partners Bobby Ghajar and Mika Reiner Mayer have been named Top Intellectual Property Lawyers by the Daily Journal.
Ghajar is an intellectual property litigation partner at Cooley. The Daily Journal recognized him as "one of the top trademark attorneys in the country," noting that he works with a wide variety of clients, including defending trademarks and copyrights belonging to toymakers, a global real estate firm, retail chains, a giant brewer and developers of video games and phone apps.
Mayer is a member of Cooley's litigation department leadership team and the firm's compensation committee, and is one of the most sought-after lawyers in patent prosecution and strategic portfolio management for life sciences startups and established companies alike. The Daily Journal notes that the "mainstay of Mayer's practice is counseling and strategizing with hundreds of life-science companies about their patent portfolios, including planning new patents and getting those patents granted."
