LOS ANGELES (Dec. 16, 2019) – Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, announces the additions of Chris Chaplin, Jeff Elkrief and Cristina Medina as associates in its Los Angeles office.

Chris has experience representing clients in a variety of employment-related and general liability matters. He has been recognized as a "Top Attorney" by Pasadena Magazine since 2011. He joins the firm from the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith. Chris received his J.D. from Southwestern Law School (2010), where he was Lead Article Editor for the Southwestern Journal of International Law, and his B.A. from Hobart College (1995).

Jeff defends clients against various employment law claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and wage-and-hour violations. In law school, he externed for the Hon. Dean Pregerson of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He joins the firm from Thompson Coe, Cousins & Irons LLP in Los Angeles. Jeff earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law (2017) and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of California Irvine (2012).

Cristina will focus on employment-related litigation, leveraging her experience in business and professional liability issues on behalf of professional services clients and public entities. She joins the firm from Collins Collins Muir + Stewart in South Pasadena. Cristina earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School (2018), where she served as a technical editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review. Cristina received her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2012).
