Stroock co-managing partner Alan Klinger has been appointed on a pro bono basis as Counsel to the New York Compensation Committee 2018. Alan is joined in his efforts by Stroock attorneys Dina Kolker, David Kahne, Beth Norton, Samantha Rubin and Tina Milburn.
Enacted as part of the budget bill submitted by the Governor, the Committee is charged with examining, evaluating and making recommendations and determinations with respect to adequate levels of compensation for Albany's legislative and executive branch officials.
Stroock's team is working with the Committee to assess the legal issues associated with its task. Many editorials and speakers at public meetings of the Committee have called upon it to tackle a broad range of matters, including possible restrictions on outside income and stipends for legislators.
