Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates its partner, Gregory B. Williams, on his appointment to the Board of Directors of Highmark BCBSD Inc. doing business as Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware.
Highmark BCBSD Inc. is an affiliate of Highmark, Inc. Highmark, the fourth largest Blue Cross and Blue Shield-affiliated company, is a national health care insurer serving more than five million members throughout the United States.
Williams, a former office managing partner of Fox's Wilmington office and the first African-American to serve in that role and on the firm's Executive Committee, has a diverse practice involving commercial, intellectual property and other business litigation for a wide range of corporate clients, including technology companies, manufacturers, financial institutions, energy companies, health care companies, retailers, government entities, colleges and universities and faith-based organizations.
Williams currently serves as Chair of the State of Delaware Judicial Nominating Commission having been appointed by the Governor. He is a past president of both the Delaware State Bar Association and the Barristers' Association of Philadelphia and currently serves as co-chair of the State of Delaware Access to Justice Commission, which was formed by the Delaware Supreme Court in January 2014.
Williams is a graduate of Villanova University School of Law and Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
