Appleby acted as Cayman Islands counsel for Lichen China Limited ("Lichen China", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") on its listing on the Nasdaq on 8 February 2023, with gross proceeds of approximately USD16 million (subject to over-allotment).
The Appleby team was led by Partner Judy Lee and assisted by Legal Manager Minnie Choi.
The Group is one of the leading financial and taxation service providers in China. It also offers educational support, and software and maintenance services in the PRC.
Lichen China intends to apply the net proceeds from the offering for the purpose of not only to expand its financial and taxation solution services, as well as to strengthen their R&D capabilities and expand its self-developed software, but also to improve its brand recognition through multi-channel marketing and contribute to their working capital and general corporate matters.
