Brandon Van Grack spoke to the Wall Street Journal about an appeals court ordering an end to the "special master" process for reviewing documents seized from former President Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence, delivering a major boost to the Justice Department's continuing criminal investigation.

"This complete rejection of the special master and injunction will unmistakably expedite the investigation," Brandon said, adding that the judge serving as special master – Senior U.S. District Judge Raymond Dearie – would likely await further instruction from U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon before continuing his work.
