The Minister of the Environment issued its Instruction No. 1 of 2012 on 29 November 2012 to the Deputy for Environmental Planning, the Deputy for Environmental Pollution Management, the Deputy for B3, B3 Waste and Garbage Management, the Deputy for Compliance with the Environmental Law and the Legal and Public Relations Bureau to take over all duties and responsibilities of Bappedal related to B3 Waste Management licensing. The following must be taken into account when issuing a B3 waste management license: the characteristics of the B3 waste; the impact of the B3 waste management on the environment; the availability of technology to process the B3 waste; and the relevant business sector's capability to comply with the B3 waste management requirements and obligations.
