CHARLESTON, S.C.—The Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Life Sciences sector is an area of focus for Womble Bond Dickinson.

With that in mind, Womble lawyers Keith Munson and Stephanie Yarbrough attended the SC BIO Annual Conference, held Oct. 24-26 in Charleston. The event drew hundreds of decision-makers in the biotech and life sciences arenas, and featured speakers included South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster, BIO Global CEO Jim Greenwood and Nephron Pharmaceuticals CEO Lou Kennedy.

Marketing Manager Pam Champ also represented the firm at the event.

SC BIO is a statewide, not-for-profit, public/private life sciences industry association and economic development organization formed to actively promote, build, support, expand, and convene South Carolina's life sciences industry. The group is the official state affiliate of BIO—the U.S. Biotechnology Innovation Organization. Yarbrough recently was appointed to the SC BIO Board of Directors.

Keith Munson is a trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience representing major corporations and governmental entities in complex litigation in the areas of product liability defense, mass tort defense, class action litigation, director and officer liability, and civil/securities fraud.

Stephanie Yarbrough's practice focuses on guiding clients in economic development and general corporate matters. She works closely with domestic and international companies seeking to expand or relocate operations to the Carolinas and the Southeastern United States. She works with new and expanding businesses in identifying and negotiating incentives and in drafting all related documentation for Fee-in-Lieu of Tax Agreements, state grants, job tax credits, job development credits, utility grants and many other economic development incentives and grants.
