The London office of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw has appointed Michael Brown, Gary Cooper, Christopher Fisher, Nick Henchie, Jonathan Moody, David Morrison and Richard Smith to partnership with effect from 1 May 2003.

The London office of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw has appointed Michael Brown, Gary Cooper, Christopher Fisher, Nick Henchie, Jonathan Moody, David Morrison and Richard Smith to partnership with effect from 1 May 2003.

Michael Brown (Litigation & Dispute Resolution) joined Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw in 1999 from a major UK bank and is a member of the Finance Dispute Resolution Group. He advises both UK and overseas banks and other financial institutions in a wide variety of domestic and international disputes in the retail, commercial and investment banking sectors.

Gary Cooper (Corporate) trained with Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw and qualified into the Corporate Group in March 1995. Gary specialises in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity work.

Christopher Fisher (Employment) joined the practice in 2001 and deals with the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, acting primarily for employers. His contentious experience includes both the employment tribunals and the High Court, with a particular emphasis on restrictive covenant work.

Nick Henchie (Construction & Engineering) qualified into the Construction & Engineering Group in September 1995 after completing his training with the practice and has a wide range of experience, specialising in the resolution of construction, engineering and energy disputes all over the world. Nick has particular experience in international arbitration of construction engineering and power disputes and claims under FIDIC forms of contract. In 2000 Nick was seconded to a major manufacturer of power generation equipment and travelled widely negotiating international contracts.

Jonathan Moody (Pensions) joined Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw in 2000. He has wide experience in the field of pensions law with special emphasis on pension scheme mergers, trust documents, disputes and regulation. He is on the Legislative and Parliamentary Sub-committee of the Association of Pensions Lawyers.

David Morrison (Corporate/Restructuring & Insolvency) combines work in the Corporate Group with non-contentious work in the Restructuring & Insolvency Group. He joined Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw as a trainee in 1992. He works on various corporate matters including advising on intra-group reorganisations, outsourcing, telecommunications, mergers & acquisitions and commercial contracts whilst advising on restructuring and non-contentious corporate insolvency work and in particular business sales to and by insolvent companies.

Richard Smith (Corporate) joined Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw's corporate department on qualification in 1995. He advises on a wide range of corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments and corporate reconstructions.
