Clyde & Co is proud to announce it has formed a Pro Bono partnership with World Bicycle Relief Australia.

World Bicycle Relief is a global not-for-profit organisation that distributes specially designed bicycles into rural areas in developing countries where the main mode of transport is walking. In countries where distance can be a massive barrier to education, health care and economic opportunity, the gift of a bicycle opens up many opportunities.

Clyde & Co has recently assisted World Bicycle Relief with its partnership with Trek Bicycle Corporation. Together they have established tap n' go payment devices which have been deployed to a series of Trek bike stores in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. The launch of the simple and efficient tap n' go payment devices encourages cycling enthusiasts to make a quick donation as they shop.

Clyde & Co Partner Cameron Thomson, relationship partner for World Bicycle Relief Australia, commented on the partnership:

"We are incredibly proud to be the Pro Bono partners for World Bicycle Relief in Australia. World Bicycle Relief makes a tremendous impact in the communities in which it operates. We are pleased to provide ongoing legal support to World Bicycle Relief through our Pro Bono program, to ensure that precious funds raised are not needlessly diverted and can be focused on delivering outcomes to those in need."

Dagmar Geiger, the Development Director from World Bicycle Relief, commented:

"We are incredibly grateful for the Pro Bono work provided by Clyde & Co".

"Receiving a bicycle is life changing when it can mean the chance for an education, better healthcare and economic opportunities. With the mobility provided by one of our bicycles, we see students' school attendance increase by 28% and academic performance by 59%, while community healthcare volunteers are able to see 45% more patients when they travel by bike from one village to another. Farmers have experienced an increase in income by 25% due to being able to deliver milk twice a day and get more produce to the markets."

"Having corporate partners like Clyde & Co means we can continue this important work. We look forward to working together further in the coming months."
