Kirkland & Ellis advised a consortium of lenders including Blantyre Capital and Bulgarian Development Bank in relation to the financial restructuring of Bulsatcom EAD, a Bulgarian satellite television, internet and mobile operator.

The complex and challenging transaction involved an enforcement by means of appropriation, the subsequent restructuring of approximately €80m of existing debt, and the advancement of €30m of new secured debt to the Bulsatcom group.
