Co-chair of the firm's finance department and Business Restructuring & Insolvency partner Jennifer Marines has once again been named "Outstanding Restructuring Lawyer" by Turnarounds & Workouts for 2019. This marks the fourth year in a row she's received the honor.
Some of her many impressive achievements noted by the publication include representing:
- Various bondholders, creditors, and parties-in-interest in the ongoing chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of California's largest utility, Pacific Gas & Electric, which is facing more than $30B in liabilities related to the 2017 and 2018 California wildfires, along with $24B in outstanding funded debt;
- Various creditors of Sears Holdings Corporation; and
- Unsecured Creditors' Committee of Westmoreland Coal Company, the sixth largest coal-mining enterprise in North America.
