PHILADELPHIA (September 2026) - Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s government relations section continues to grow with the addition of Anita Lewis as a Senior Advisor in the Philadelphia office. She works with healthcare organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and other stakeholders as they navigate the intersection of public policy, government, business, and community priorities.

"Anita is an exciting addition to our Philadelphia office,” said Marc Tepper, shareholder and head of the office. “Our local government relations team is a strong differentiator in the region, and Anita’s experience only adds to the group’s stellar reputation.”

With more than 20 years of experience in health insurance, state government, public affairs, and strategic communications, she helps clients better understand complex policy environments, prepare for emerging challenges, strengthen meaningful relationships, and thoughtfully advance their goals. Her healthcare experience includes Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, managed care, pharmacy benefits, PBM policy, healthcare access and affordability, and healthcare delivery.

“Anita adds significant experience to our Pennsylvania team,” said Randy Vulakovich, chair of the state government relations practice group. “The healthcare industry is a key economic driver in the commonwealth, and she will leverage her skills and experience in the industry to build consensus and advance client objectives."

Lewis is especially attuned to the needs of clients operating in Pennsylvania’s complex political and regulatory environment. She makes complicated policy and fiscal issues easier to understand and helps clients develop practical, actionable strategies. Known for working collaboratively across the public and private sectors, she helps build bipartisan support, foster productive stakeholder engagement, and identify opportunities that align policy objectives with meaningful business and community outcomes.

“I am excited to join Buchanan’s government relations team,” said Lewis. “At Buchanan, I will continue to build and nurture trusted relationships across the aisle and look forward to collaborating to deliver results that make a meaningful difference for the clients.”

In addition to her professional work, Lewis is actively engaged with organizations focused on civic leadership, women’s advancement, education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. Her commitment to community reflects her belief that strong communities are built through service, relationships and investment in people. She currently serves as a board member for the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.
